What is an article?

Firstly, an article is a piece of writing included with others in a newspaper, magazine, or other publication. It can also be a way of expressing your point of view about something for thousands of people to read.

Whether you are a businessman, or a marketer, the purpose of writing an article is to make yourself known and your business. It also helps in influencing the readers positively towards writing and making them think.

I can also say an article is a piece of writing for numerous people.

How can you make money through writing?

You can make money through writing an article in the sense that there are over a thousand sites or blogs you can write for.

Before you can write for sites or blogs, you must have to practice how to write an article and ensure you write all the time for you to be a professional writer.

So, my advice for anybody that wants to be a professional writer should make sure he or she is studying how to write articles online, practice writing from time to time and be consistent in writing.

As a writer you have to keep your readers in mind to meet up to their expectations and make your article simple for your readers to understand easily.

I would like to share with you a few steps to be considered when writing an article.

Here are steps needs to be considered before writing an article

 1: Title

Title means giving a name to a composition, book or other work.  Also choose a topic that interests you enough to focus on it for at least a week or two, ensure you pick a topic you are happy to write about.

Sometimes if the topic you choose is a broad one, make sure you look for a way to make it a narrow one so that it will be an easy one to write about. Make sure you think about the topic and try to gather ideas.

In addition to this, make sure you stay loose and avoid any distractions when choosing your topic.

Don’t rush yourself when choosing your topic, take your time to study the topic and digest it.

When choosing your topic have it at the back of your mind that you must be consistent in your article writing and avoid any form of disturbance.

2: Research

Researching about the topic you want to write about helps you gather more facts about the topic. It makes you have more ideas about the topic and don’t forget to keep track of sources in case you are later asked by an editor to verify them.

Also make sure you arrange the information and facts logically and also gather points from every research you make about your topic.

In addition to this,  when you’re doing your research try not to copy from your research or another writer’s article because it makes readers ignore your article and your article won’t be unique.

3: Read, Revise, Repeat

As a writer make sure you read all through to avoid any mistakes such as incorrect spellings, punctuation marks.

Revision deals with organization, audience, and focus. That is when writing an article you must be focused and organized.

Repetition is the act of restating something more than once. As a writer you should read the article you wrote once or twice to avoid mistakes.

Make sure you revise what you have written to know if you are focused.

Many writers make the mistake of writing an article with a lot of incorrect spellings and don’t know how to use punctuation marks. In order to avoid those things you have to study, read and digest for you to understand what your article is all about.

4: Conclusion

Conclusion is in some ways, like your introduction. You restate your thesis and summarize your main points of evidence for the readers.

Ensure your reader is satisfied with your article, and he has an answer to all needs about your article. Ensure you keep your audience in mind, write a tighter draft incorporating the new supporting information you’ve collected.

Ask yourself some questions concerning the article you wrote then see if you are really satisfied with it. You can also see yourself as the reader to see if you truly pick some important clues.

Articles are easy to write sometimes, but your directories may not be pleased with it.

As a writer you have to do a lot of research and gather ideas about your topic. Also, writers must not be shy to gather ideas anywhere.

Make sure your article is interesting to read, not a boring one or a choppy one.

In addition to this, your introduction must be catchy in the sense that it must be noticeable to readers scrolling through.

Your article must be written in simple words so that it will be easy for the readers to read through, don’t use difficult words that can make your readers to be confused or trying to understand the message you are trying to put across.

I hope these few points have been able to help my readers on how to write a good article.
